Selis, Esq., Selis Elder Law of Florida\n \n\n \nAbout Our Presenter\n \nScott A. Selis, Esq., is an Elder Care, Elder Law, and Estate Planning attorney. He is the founder of Selis Elder Law of Florida.\n \nScott’s practice focuses on making long-term care affordable for people that don’t have long-term care insurance, as well as, helping people create a disability & end-of-life plan that will ensure a smooth transition when they become disabled or die. Scott also handles Probate, Trust Administration and Guardianship.\n \nScott was the Florida Bar Elder Law Section’s Elder Law Attorney of the Year in 2016, Scott also received a public service award from the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section in 2012.\n \nScott serves the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section in many roles. Currently, he serves as co-chair of the Florida Bar Elder Law Section’s Membership Committee and on the Legislative and Medicaid Committees.\n \nUntil reducing his duties to focus on his new law firm, Scott served on a statewide Task Force that advocates for the Elderly and Disabled, and he was Vice Chair of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section, responsible for overseeing its Administrative Committees. Scott was Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee until June, 2017.\n \nScott received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his J.D. from Stetson University's College of Law. Scott has been married to Kimberly since 1984, and they have had 3 children and one grandchild.\n \n \n \nPlease note that you will be charged $25 at the door if you have not paid your 2018 membership dues. The $25 may be deducted from your dues when paid.\n \nWe will also have renewal forms available at the next several breakfast meetings.
