DESCRIPTION:Program: Bad Times Call For Good Ethics In 2008 we explored Ethics and Leadership As Applied To Estate Planning. In this session we continue that discussion with the focus on why Bad Times Call For Good Ethics. This session will briefly recap the earlier presentation and then go on to make the case for increasing attention to professional ethics in a down economy. Part of the discussion will look at the psychology of fraud: why good people choose to do bad things and how they justify doing so. We will explore strategies for taking and holding the ethical high ground and how that commitment to ethics can be a competitive advantage. We will conclude the session with an attempt to look beyond today's down economy and discuss some of the ethical challenges that we can anticipate with the next "bounce".
