Guardians on behalf of their Wards must present their Personal Inventory to the courts. Attorneys are required to submit household contents for bankruptcy cases. Divorce cases require appraisals for marital distribution.\n \nFor Estate Planners we cannot emphasize enough the IMPORTANCE of an Inventory and Appraisal while their clients are alive and well to include receipts, past appraisals, family history and provenance. Time and time again this vital information gets lost in the translation through Power of Attorneys, Personal Representatives, Heirs and Executors or even the clients themselves in cases of senility and Alzheimer.
